DCV Posts 3rd Championship in a Row at Waukee

On Saturday, October 19th, the Dowling Catholic Vanguard concluded their season with “the double” … performing in both the State Marching Band Contest and in the Waukee Invitational.

DCV Seniors celebrate their win at Waukee!

In the afternoon, they had “their best performance so far this year,” according to Mr. Hoover, in his post-march comments to the students. It resulted in a Division I rating, which was Dowling’s 17th consecutive, dating back to 2002.

In the evening competition, they topped it. For the third straight year, DCV won the Waukee Invitational, placing first overall out of 13 4A schools. They also won the caption award for Best Winds!
